How to Make Paper Peach Blossoms

    • 1). Lay a piece of 4-inch-by-2 1/2-inch pink tissue paper horizontally on your work surface. Place a grape-sized ball on top of the paper.

    • 2). Lift the left and right sides of the paper. Pull them halfway up the ball to form a bowl shape. You should have excess tissue sticking out on the left and right sides. All of the paper at the top and bottom of the rectangle should be around the bottom half of the ball.

    • 3). Twist the tissue gently on the left and right sides of the ball to secure the paper in the bowl shape. Think of a round, wrapped piece of candy. Twist the paper until you wind all of the excess paper tight.

    • 4). Remove the ball from the paper bowl. This is one petal of the blossom.

    • 5). Repeat the process four times to make five petals total.

    • 6). Cut a 6-inch piece of floral wire with the wire cutters.

    • 7). Arrange 12 artificial stamen into a bouquet in your fingers. Hold the base of the stamen bouquet against one end of the floral wire. The wire and stamens should run in the same direction.

    • 8). Wrap floral tape around the wire and stamens where they overlap to secure them as the stem and center of the peach blossom. Trim the floral tape with scissors.

    • 9). Hold one of the petals to the stem with one twist against the stem. Pinch the stem and the twisted end of the petal together.

Apply a piece of floral tape to the flower to secure the petal to the stem. Repeat the process to secure the four other petals.

Shape the attached petals gently with your finger tips to flatten the cupped sides of the tissue slightly.
