How to Build a Shelf Drying Rack
- 1). Drill 1/2-inch diameter holes every 4 inches down the middle of a 2-by-4 board.
- 2). Cut the board in half lengthwise using a rip saw, creating two thinner boards with semicircle dips along one edge.
- 3). Cut two pieces of 1-by-4 board 3 inches longer than the shelves that you need to dry.
- 4). Screw the 1-by-4 to the tops and bottoms of the 2-by-4 boards, creating a box frame. The notches should face up.
- 5). Lean the drying rack against the wall at a 45-degree angle.
