I found out about this campground by word-of-mouth, and I RV camped there in the summer of 2006.
Describe your camping trip:
The campground is located around a small lake. The campsites vary from lakeside to the high ground. All are well-kept and private. The new owner has invested in a new filter system for the water, so it is crystal clear drinking water. Pine trees abound, and there are many walking trails to enjoy.
Pros: The campground is a great quiet getaway. The owner does not tolerate late night loud parties. Beautiful location and great staff. The owner is always willing to go the extra step to make your stay nice.
Cons: Not really a con, but if you have a lot of kids and are looking for planned activities for them this is not the place. But they have a nice beach area, miniature golf, free use of canoes and kayaks, loads of woods for the kids to explore, and they can go fishing in the lake.
Nearby attractions: Near UCONN and Hartford.

A great place to spend some relaxing time. The setting is great, and other campers are very friendly. Take the family and enjoy.
