- 1). Slide the door into the wall. Remove any track or guides on the floor with the screwdriver.
- 2). Close the door all the way but do not latch it shut.
- 3). Run a sharp utility knife around the edges of the door moulding to cut away any paint or caulk.
- 4). Use a pry bar or claw hammer to remove the molding from around the edges of door. Place a wood or plastic shim underneath the heel of your tool to help protect the wall while you're working.
- 5). Have an assistant stand on the inside of the door and push it towards you. Grab the bottom of the door and continue to lift until it is at a 45 degree angle.
- 6). Press gently on the door to slide it up and off the tracks at the top of the door. Pull the door towards you
