Function

• Since you have a limited amount of space, it's important to make sure that most of the decorative items in the bathroom have a function as well. For instance, if you've decorated the bathroom in red and black, a striking red towel rack is a wonderful way to display black monogrammed towels. • A few different types of design or decor choices will make a small bathroom look elegant and sophisticated. For instance, an elaborately designed showerhead or set of faucet handles add flair without taking up space. Or, if you're using a design theme like flower bouquets or dragonflies for the bathroom, a hanging picture of these items or a shower curtain that displays these images will make the bathroom more welcoming.

• To make a small bathroom a little bigger, using a light paint color on the walls is best. Neutral shades like beige or light gray in the bathroom also mean that you can switch out the linen and shower curtains easily any time you want to change the room's color scheme.
