How to Unlock a BlackBerry 7100
- 1). Call your cellular service provider and request the Network MEP code and the unlock code for your BlackBerry 7100. In the United States, cell phone service providers will usually provide these codes free of charge as long as you have an active account in good standing.
If you can't get these codes from your cellular service provider, try buying the codes from a company that specializes in unlocking cellular phones (see Resources). Write down the network MEP code and the unlock code for your BlackBerry 7100. - 2). Turn on your BlackBerry 7100.
- 3). Select "Menu" and "Settings Menu." Scroll down and highlight "SIM card." Press select.
- 4). Press the "SHIFT" key and type mep2 (the text will not appear on the screen of the BlackBerry 7100 while you type). Release the "SHIFT" key.
- 5). Enter the Network MEP Code you wrote down in Step 1. The BlackBerry 7100 will prompt you to enter the Unlock Code. Enter the Unlock Code you wrote down in Step #1. Press "Enter." Your BlackBerry 7100 is now unlocked, and you can use your phone with another cellular service provider's SIM card.
