How to Fold a Fabric Rosebud

104 5
    • 1). Cut a strip of fabric that is approximately 2 to 3 inches wide by 36 inches long.

    • 2). Fold down one corner of the fabric to meet the opposite side and create an angled end. Roll up the point of this end toward the main body of the fabric strip, stopping at the edge of the folded piece.

    • 3). Pinch the rolled section of fabric in one hand and use the other hand to fold the main strip of fabric behind itself. Fold it down at a 45-degree angle toward the back of the flower, then rotate the flower clockwise by approximately 45 degrees.

    • 4). Continue the process of folding the fabric over and behind itself and turning the flower until the flower petals are as wide as you want them to be.

    • 5). Cut off the excess fabric and use a hand sewing needle to stitch the flower together. Place your stitches in the center of the flower on the back, keeping them small so they won't be seen. Stitch together the layers of the flower so it holds its shape.
