How to Make a Hair Rubber Band With Beads

104 12
    • 1). Measure and cut a stretch hairband to 7 inches long. The hairband should be fabric-covered elastic so it will not tangle your hair.

    • 2). Cut the corners off one end of the band so that it forms a point that passes easily through the holes in the beads.

    • 3). Feed the end of the band through a series of beads in the colors you like. Add as many beads as you want. Leave at least 1 inch bare at either end of the band.

    • 4). Tie the ends together in two tight overhand knots, to secure them. Trim the excess elastic at the ends to 1/4 inch.

    • 5). Dab epoxy adhesive on the knot and on the cut ends of the elastic to keep the knot secure and to keep the fabric from fraying. Wait 24 hours for the adhesive to dry completely. The colorfully-decorated stretch band is now perfect for holding your ponytail.
