How to Make Snowmen Lapel Pins
- 1). Fold the felt and cut out a small snowman (making two snowmen). It doesn't have to be perfect -- no snowman ever is!
Sew the snowman together only from his left shoulder, up over his head and down to his right shoulder. - 2). Stuff the head with just enough fiberfill to make it have dimension.
Place the twig between the felt to create the arms. Sew from just below the twig down to the bottom of the snowman and fill with the fiberfill. Sew the rest of the way up to the twig. - 3). Cut or tear a strip of fabric about an inch wide and 6 inches long. Fold in half lengthwise and tie it around the neck of the snowman for a scarf. You may need a dot of white glue to hold it down to the body.
- 4). Sew the jewelry pin on the back of the snowman being careful only to sew through one piece of the fabric. Make many small stitches from top to bottom to secure it tightly.
- 5). Dot the black fabric paint on the snowman as eyes, mouth and buttons.
Make a nose with the orange fabric paint by daubing on a dot, but pulling the paint tip up to form a nose.
Let dry at least 8 hours.
