- 1). Turn off your iPod and turn it over so you are looking directly at the dock connector on the bottom of the unit.
- 2). Locate the damaged pin connector and use the tip of your screwdriver to bend it back in place so it appears exactly like all the other functional connectors. If the pin connector has completely broken off, proceed to Step 3.
- 3). Use your soldering iron to solder the pin back in place on the dock connector. Give the pin a few hours to set before turning the iPod back on or connecting the power plug to the port.
