Jacking Up the Car

• Park the car on level ground, shut off the engine, engage the parking brake and place wood blocks behind and in front of the rear left wheel. Jack up the car at the front passenger side.
  
  

Get Under the Car

• Take a flashlight and carefully lie on your back and look under the car, positioning yourself under the passenger door. Point the flashlight at the back of the engine.
  
  

Finding the Oil Filter

• Scan the back of the engine on the passenger side until you see a canister-shaped object that looks similar to a small can of coffee sticking out of the back of the engine. This is the oil filter.
