How to Make a Mini Photo Album
- 1). Decide on a theme for your miniature photo album. If it is for Mother’s Day, you may want your album in the shape of a large heart. If it is for vacation pictures, you may want the shape of a train, van or car. You can draw these shapes freehand, use a stencil or trace over a picture from a coloring book. Alternately, you may want your album to be a square or rectangle shape for simplicity. Just make sure the shape is large enough to cover the size pictures you want in your album.
- 2). Count the number of pictures you want in the album, and trace the original design onto that number of pieces of the heavy construction paper. You will need two extra for a top and back page for the album and a sheet for each picture in between.
- 3). Cut out the designs with a pair of scissors.
- 4). Glue the photos onto each of the album pages. Be careful to use the glue sparingly and only around the edges of the pictures. Allow each page to dry completely before binding it into the album.
- 5). Stack the cutouts on top of each other so that you can punch two holes along one side. You may need to punch more holes depending on the size you make the album. This is where the ribbon will go to bind the album.
- 6). Cut the ribbon so that you have two pieces that are each 12 inches long.
- 7). Insert a ribbon into one of the holes from bottom to top. Repeat the method with the other hole, and tie the ribbons into pretty bows or knots.
- 8). Cut any excess ribbon if the bow is too large.
- 9). Decorate the album or pages with crayons, colored permanent markers or stickers if you desire.
