- 1). Turn off the computer and the TV.
- 2). Plug in a compatible cable from one of the ports on the back of your PC or laptop to a matching input jack on the back or edge of your TV. Turn on both components.
- 3). Push and release the TV's video-input button on the front of the set or the remote control to shift through the available inputs on the set until you reach the connection with your PC.
- 4). Press and hold the "Fn" key on a laptop or notebook as you press one of the function keys on the top row that typically will be labeled with a monitor icon. This switches the video display from the laptop screen to the connected TV. For example, to switch the video display on most Dell laptops, press the "Fn" and "F8" keys at the same time.
