  A kitty cat is a quick and practicable costume for a costume party or Halloween that you can make at home. A cat costume only requires face paint, but additions can include ears and a tail. Grab a fitted pair of leggings and a shirt to complete the outfit, and get ready for the festivities.
  
  

Solid-Colored Cat

• A solid-colored kitty cat face involves painting the entire face with one face paint color such as black, gray, brown or orange. Use a lighter color to paint in cat-like facial features. Draw an almond shape around the eye and fill in the space. Add a darker color around the top of the eye and blend in to the eyebrow. Draw whiskers and color in the nose. Draw a figure eight just under the nose, with the circles extending out to the sides of the mouth. The center of the figure eight should be just under the nose. Fill in the mouth with a light color. Add spots and additional whiskers.
  
  

Calico Cat

• A calico cat face starts similarly to a solid-colored kitty cat face, but uses white face paint as the base. Draw large brown and black circles all over the face and fill them in. You can draw a large circle around one eye with either brown or black and color it in. Outline the eyes in an angular shape and fill in with a darker color. Paint in the nose and add whiskers. Use a slightly darker color to paint the mouth, extending the color all the way down the chin. Finish with freckles and additional whiskers if you wish.
  
  

Striped Cat

• A striped kitty cat face starts with a light base color applied all over the face. White or yellow would be suitable. Add thick stripes in contrasting colors that are about the length of a paint brush. The first color starts near the nose and extends out toward the ears. Use another face paint color to draw another stripe right above the first stripe. Repeat until the entire face is covered in different-colored stripes. Outline eyes in an almond shape using a contrasting color. Paint in a nose and whiskers. Draw a figure eight below the nose and out to either side of the mouth. Fill in the mouth with a slightly darker color. Use a darker face paint color to add freckles and whiskers.
