- 1). Using a pencil, trace the child's hand onto white paper. Cut out the hand using scissors. Adults may need to cut out the hand for younger children, but older kids can do so without assistance. The cut-out hand print will become the bloom of the Easter lily.
- 2). Fold the yellow pipe cleaner in half, and insert it into the opening of a straw. The pipe cleaner should stay without any problems, but if it does not, simply staple the pipe cleaner from the outside of the straw. The yellow pipe cleaner will become the stamen for the Easter lily.
- 3). Fold the bottom portion of the hand cut-out around the straw opening. Tape it around the opening of the straw. Use the same end of the straw that has the pipe cleaner attached to it. The petals of the flower will be wrapped around the stamen of the flower.
- 4). Curl the fingers of the paper cut-out downward, using a pencil. Wrap each individual finger around the pencil. Hold for several seconds, then gently release.
- 5). Cut two 4 inch long leaves from green construction paper. Wrap the bottom end of each leaf around the straw, and tape them into place so that the leaves resemble those of a lily. The finished craft should resemble an Easter lily, complete with petals, stamen, stem and leaves.
- 6). Using the above technique, create 4 or 5 paper lilies. Wrap the lilies in green tissue paper, so that they resemble a wrapped bouquet of flowers. Tie a bow around the bottom third of the bouquet to hold the flowers together.
- 7). Place several paper Easter lilies in a vase. The bouquet of paper Easter lilies can be given as a gift or used as a wedding or Easter decoration. You can even create these lilies to use as a centerpiece for your table on Easter.
