FaceTime

• FaceTime is a video application developed by Apple for mobile devices. FaceTime lets users of the fourth- generation iPod touch, iPhone 4, iPad 2 or a Mac equipped with a webcam that is on a Wi-Fi network connection place video calls between the devices. The email address associated with the FaceTime app identifies users on the FaceTime network. To find a user on the FaceTime network, you need to type in the email address associated with the other user's FaceTime account.
  
  

Game Center

• Game Center is an online multiplayer social gaming network released for the second-, third- and fourth-generation iPod touch, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS as part of iOS 4. Game Center lets you send game invitations to friends, use an auto-matchmaking service to initiate multiplayer games, track achievements and compare high scores on a leaderboard. Once you sign into the Game Center with an Apple ID, you can create different nicknames that display when you are in the gaming community. Multiple email addresses can also be assigned to the Game Center app. Games are downloaded and initiated with the tap of the associated link in the Game Center.
  
  

Playlists

• The legacy On-The-Go playlist feature from earlier iPod models has been replaced with an Add Playlist command in iOS 4. The Add Playlist command lets users create and personalize playlists by rearranging or adding and removing songs to edit a current playlist, or create a new playlist by tapping Add Playlist in the Playlist tab. Once a new playlist is created, select songs from the entire library to add to the playlist.
  
  

iTunes Ping

• iTunes Ping is a social network that lets users follow friends and monitor their music selections. Users can also search for new music within Ping and receive customized music recommendations. Short previews of song choices can be accessed prior to purchasing a download.
