How to Copy an iPod to iTunes in a Mac?

    • 1). Download and install a Mac-compatible third-party iPod application (Floola, Expod, iPod Disc). The installation processes are almost identical across all the programs.

    • 2). Connect the iPod to the computer. If iTunes launches, quit the program.

    • 3). Launch the third-party iPod program. Wait for the program to register the iPod songs.

    • 4). Select the iPod contents and transfer them to the computer's hard drive. There will commonly be a button titled "Transfer" or "Upload" that will begin the transfer.

    • 5). Launch iTunes and open the folder that contains the transferred iPod songs. Highlight the songs and drag and drop them into the iTunes library.
