How to Get a Truck Unstuck in the Mud
- 1). Rock your way out of the mud. The Off Road Adventure Club recommends moving the truck as far forward as you can, hitting the brakes and holding your position and repeating the method in reverse until you're able to drive out of the mud.
- 2). Dig around your truck's tires and place a few pieces of plywood or carpet under each appropriate tire for added traction. Press the accelerator and try and drive your way out of the mud.
- 3). Contact a friend or family member that owns a four-wheel drive truck with an attached winch and ask for their assistance in pulling your truck out of the mud.
- 4). Attach the winch cable hook or clasp to the frame of the vehicle stuck in the mud. Request the driver of the other truck slowly press their accelerator until your truck is out of the mud and on solid ground.
