How to Repair Dim Tail Lights on a 1994 Chevy
- 1). Engage the parking brake and make sure the engine of your 1994 Chevy is turned off for safety.
- 2). Open the trunk or tailgate and locate the two screws that secure each taillight. Remove the screws by turning them counterclockwise with a screwdriver.
- 3). Remove the taillight cover by gently pulling it from the rear of the vehicle. Carefully take off the cover as it contains wires that are still attached to the vehicle.
- 4). Turn the taillight housing slightly counterclockwise to unlock the it from the taillight cover. Remove the dim bulb from its socket.
- 5). Insert a new bulb into the socket by turning it clockwise into the cover. Insert the taillight cover back into the vehicle and secure by turning the screws clockwise until they are tightened. Close the trunk or tailgate and test the light to ensure it has been properly repaired.
