    Activate Caller ID Block for One Call Only

    • 1). Pick up the telephone handset. Activate "Call" or Talk" mode on the phone if you are using a cordless phone.

    • 2). Dial "*" followed by the numbers "6" and "7" on the phone's keypad.

    • 3). Listen for a confirmation tone.

    • 4). Dial the phone number of the party you want to call. Your caller ID information will not be transmitted to the call recipient's caller ID display. Instead your call will show up as "Private," "Unknown" or "Anonymous" on the call recipient's caller ID display. The caller ID block is deactivated when you hang up from this call. You will have to repeat these steps to activate a caller ID block for another phone call.

    Permanently Activate Caller ID Block Via Phone

    • 1). Pick up the telephone handset. Activate "Call" or Talk" mode on the phone if you are using a cordless phone.

    • 2). Dial "*", then the numbers "3" and "1" on the keypad.

    • 3). Listen for a confirmation tone. Caller ID block is now permanently activated on your FiOS phone. Your caller ID information will not transmit to the caller ID displays of your call recipients. Instead your call will show up as "Private," "Unknown" or "Anonymous" on a recipient's caller ID display.

    Permanently Activate Caller ID Block Via Internet

    • 1). Go to the "FiOS Digital Voice" account manager sign in Web page on the Verizon website.

    • 2). Log in to your FiOS digital voice account.

    • 3). Click "Calling Features." Go to the "Outgoing Caller ID Block" tab.

    • 4). Click "Activate Outgoing Caller ID Block."
