- 1). Park the vehicle in a well-lit area and open the hood. Remove the negative battery cable first and then the positive. Loosen the nut on the cable at the point where the cable connects to the output using the corresponding box wrench and pull the cable off the connector.
- 2). Loosen the screw securing the mount to the battery using the screwdriver. Pull the stock battery from the engine compartment. Set the battery aside in a clean, dry place until disposal.
- 3). Place the new battery in the same place as the stock battery. Make sure that the new battery is in the same position as the stock battery.
- 4). Replace the mount to the battery and secure it to the battery using the screw on the mount. Reconnect the cables in reverse of removal.
