  People do strange things to their cars, as they think of their vehicles as extensions of themselves. This ranges from incredibly expensive hub caps to extreme paint jobs and funny personalized license plates. There are a number of other crazy gifts which can be bought for cars that are both funny and unique for the owners, or perfect pranks on them as they drive down the road.
  
  

Steering Wheel Covers

• Many people put covers on their steering wheels to keep them clean and make them easier to grip. For someone who does this, give them a steering wheel cover which is made of a ridiculous material like Shag or faux leopard or zebra print so that their steering wheel will stand out from all of the rest. These covers can inhibit driving sometimes, so if this is the case, people should not use them in their cars if safety is compromised in favor of a crazy car gift style.
  
  

Exhaust Whistle

• Whistles are sometimes installed on the exhausts of cars, making them heard every time the car accelerates. This is often obnoxious or noisy and can get them pulled over by the police, so it is rarely purposefully put on people's cars unless it is a trick car or for a specific event. However, there are prank exhaust whistles which can be put on the cars of your friends, which they will undoubtedly hear while they are driving in their car. These prank whistles usually aren't very loud; they just make the car sound funny while it is driving, especially if it is a muscle car that is supposed to have a loud exhaust.
  
  

Scrolling LED Message Sign with Remote

• An LED message sign can be installed in the back window of a car that will scroll a number of different messages to drivers behind you. This device will allow you to effectively convey messages to other drivers, like those of frustration or to tell them not to tailgate or funny thoughts while you are all stuck in traffic. The remote allows you to type in different messages, though this should not be done while driving, as it poses just as much of a danger as texting while driving.
