    Water Globes

    • Water globes are a quick and fun craft that utilizes baby food jars. Simply fill the jar with water and a small amount of cooking oil. Then add glitter and small objects to the water. You can use blue food coloring and small plastic fish to make an ocean scene. Once you've filled the jar, run a bead of hot glue around the lid before you screw it on to secure it. Shake up your water globe and watch the sparkles swirl around.

    Stained Glass Votive Holder

    • You can use baby food jars to make elegant gifts for mothers and teachers or as hostess gifts. Tear up some small squares of tissue paper in varying colors. With a paste made of flour and water, or glue that dries clear, paste the tissue paper squares on the jar, overlapping until it is completely covered. Put a candle inside of the jar, and when it is lit all the colors will show up and mimic the effect of stained glass.

    Jar Garden

    • Make a pretty little garden inside your old baby food jars using some craft moss, silk flowers, and a little bit of hot glue. Simply remove the lid of the baby food jar and, using it as a base, build a pretend garden with the moss and silk flowers by gluing flowers into place to look like a garden. When you're finished, screw the glass portion of the jar upside down onto the lid, and you have a gorgeous little garden to give as a gift or keep.
